From a starlit backyard to Italy and the invention of the telescope 400 years ago, follow the story of two students who learn how telescopes work and what wonders they can reveal. The added feature of a guided tour of the current night sky helps bring the heavens down to Earth.

Earth Moon Sun

 Based on the trickster of Native American lore, Coyote is constantly corrected in his misunderstandings of how things work. A live tour of the Maine sky and its beautiful constellations completes this micro-unit of astronomy.

Origins of Life

Life has been found in so many extreme environments on Earth that the idea of life in space is becoming more and more believable. This intriguing world of astrobiology is explored in “Origins of Life.”  In this omni-dome based show, join scientists as they search for extra-solar planets, planets that orbit around stars that are not our sun.

Earth's Wild Ride

Explore the world from a unique vantage point on the moon as a grandfather explains to his grandchildren how this beautiful blue planet became the world we call home today

No one is admitted late to any showing due to safety regulations.

Public programs are offered weekly through the school year and - occasionally in summer.

Group leaders and educators can arrange for private showings at other times and dates.

STILL ONLY $3 Per Person

Cash, check, credit card or money order are the accepted forms of payment.
UMaine students FREE with MaineCard.

No one is admitted late to any showing due to safety regulations.

Tickets for most shows can be held at the door by advance reservation or bought at the door before each showing, first come - first served. Seating is limited to 30 for most shows depending on the show.

To reserve tickets, call 207-581-1341 by the day before the showing.

Held tickets must be paid for at least 15 minutes prior to the show for guaranteed seating.
