The
Horoscope
The constellations, especially the zodiac constellations, are
thought in astrology to play an important role in determining
the course of a given person’s life. Most people know their ‘sign’;
the constellation which the sun is in on their birthday. What
most people don’t realize is that due to the precession of the
earth over time (the ‘wobble’ of the axis upon which the Earth
spins), the dates most modern horoscopes use have shifted out
of phase with the actual stars. Modern horoscopes also fail to
take into account the fact that the Sun passes through the constellation
Ophiuchus, because they are based on an antique model of the stars.
