| Welcome
to Galaxy Maine, the official Maynard F. Jordan Planetarium and
Observatory website. The Jordan Planetarium
opens a window on planets, stars and the universe, bringing the
cosmos to life in the twenty foot dome theater. The Jordan
Observatory is Maine’s only public observatory, and is open
for sky watchers of all ages to explore the wonders of the Maine
sky.
Feel free to explore the Planetarium
and Observatory facilities, discuss observations and ask questions
with other star gazers in the Communicator or the Sky Port Forum,
research a school project on astronomy or just have a look around
at the many other resources at GalaxyMaine.com offers.
